Our world is changing
The rise in global Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and temperatures, combined with the energy crisis, have exposed the unprecedented challenges confronting our economies, societies and ecosystems.
The United Nations expects that, as a result of the increase in global temperatures, by 2070, up to 3 billion people will be confronted with climate conditions, which will be “nearly unlivable”, and/or “deemed unsuitable for human life to flourish”.
Even though it still remains unclear whether humans will be able to reverse Climate Change, and/or address the momentous environmental challenges confronting Planet Earth, one thing is certain:
SOUTHEASTERN, 100% world-class, field-experienced & Doctoral level instructors, combined with its innovative and cutting edge Undergraduate and Graduate programs are here to prepare you master the “Green Technologies”, in order to excel in the knowledge-based economy, and pursue a successful career with global horizons.
All Undergraduate and Graduate Programs offered by SOUTHEASTERN combine academic coursework with hands-on research experience. Specifically, our students have the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking research projects co-funded by the EU’s Horizon-Europe program focusing on: the absorption, processing and utilization of CO2 (Carbon capture, utilization and storage) (CCUS), Geothermal Energy Applications, Hydrogen Applications, the production of new generation electrodes from nanotubes for the batteries of electric cars; and Waste Water Treatment and desalination.
